It's been really frozen here for days, snowing on and off more than a week! It's a real shock compared to Georgia, since it's sticking and piling up. I think it might be finally melting now, but just in case, I've got rubber and spikey traction soles that can be attached to my shoes for the ice (Thank you so much Aunt Rebecca!) which help a lot.
I'm working on all the non-school stuff that needs to get done asap so that when the regular semester classes start Thursday, I'm as prepared as possible. Michael has exams until thursday, so he's stressing out big time. I did well on the two papers I've gotten back so far, so I feel like if I'm prepared enough and start the work earlier I could get out with a distinction (A) for the whole degree, which is my goal.
I haven't yet heard about my placement and my dissertation is in very early development, so I'm not even positive about the exact topic yet. But hopefully all that will happen soon. Same with my visa, I'm not entirely sure how to continue, but I'm trying to schedule meetings with international office, financial office, etc etc, to find out.
Not a lot going on, we're pretty boring people. :P Although! I'm getting my outfit ready for a ball in Feb (Masquerade Murder Mystery!). I'm getting really excited! It's at Lumley Castle in Durham, which is supposed to be absolutely gorgeous. I'll definitely be taking pictures! I just got the mask, so I'll show it off soon.
